I'm quite excited for these graphics cards. While the 8GB version makes no sense for anyone other than for playing e-shooters at 1440p, the 16GB card, if it's priced right (I think $350-400 as a rough starting point seems reasonable right now), should be a nice alternative to the 7800XT with support for FSR 4 and better RT.

I think 8GB is fine. Especially for 1080p gaming which is likely the target market for this card.

I have been using my 8GB 3070ti at 1440p and never really had any issues tbh.

Naturally of course more is always better.

The 8GB version will be useful for the lower-end market as it will help keep costs down. That said, I am not a fan of new 8GB GPUs. Intel had the right idea with their 10GB ARC 570 and 12GB ARC 580.

8GB will be "enough", but it will force gamers to be very careful with their settings. Insufficient VRAM can cause a lot of issues, and lowering texture settings etc isn't an obvious fix for most gamers.
