Ah, OK fair enough I didn't realise that. It will be pretty shaky though. IIRC on some of those boards you have to pick, up to 3000 support or 5000 only with no way back.
BTW we've not seen the prices yet. If they are anything like 5000 launch prices it may just be cheaper to go with a 12400 and board and use your existing RAM.
It's also annoying that they are releasing the 5800X3D (got that's a stupid name, I am deffo standing my ground on that one lol) and not lower end parts.
Starting to get a bit snobby IMO. Mind you, I reckon Intel are going to clap their GPU department any way so they may need the cash.
