I agree. Having an option is better than having no option, even if the option isn't optimal in all ways. It's still faster than the RX 9060 XT and RTX 5060 Ti 16GB after all.

I agree with you. It's definitely not as amazing as it could have been. That said, it's likely that most of these GPUs could have their memory boosted from 18 Gbps to 20 Gbps. That would be a memory boost of 11%, which could have a notable impact on performance. I'd love to see that tested!
I can see that GPU launching in the West at the end of this year or early next year. Not the most exciting GPU out there, but that gap needs filled.
