Small updates to the lineup may seem pointless but it is a step in the right direction for now. For a start, in terms of price I'd hope that the new X4 965 will eventually appear for around £150, resulting in a subtle price drop for the old X4 955, just like what happened to the X4 940 when the 955 arrived (although of course this is partly to do with the 940BE going EOL). Also, retail clock speed increments are hopeful signs that the yields of the Deneb core are improving and that we'll begin to see higher overclocks. Regardless, clockspeed is all that AMD have at the moment to try and defend themselves against LGA1156 so it's good to see that they're doing something!
