AMD officially announce FreeSync 2

AMD has officially announced their FreeSync 2 display technology, offering a low latency, HDR ready display standard to Radeon users with support for FreeSync LFC technology.

If they have a G-Sync monitor then that means they would also have an Nvidia GPU meaning they would not be buying a Freesync monitor.

I had a G-sync monitor connected to a Fury X. It was awful, stutter heaven.

I'm still a firm believer in Adaptive so when I got my next display I got Freesync, given that I could then use Freesync and adaptive on the same screen. No stutter either using Adaptive.

So if you are known to hop brands my advice is to get a Freesync screen as you can use adaptive sync with both types of GPU. Don't buy a G-sync screen if there is even the most remote possibility you may switch to Vega. Adaptive works very well, as does Freesync.
