AMD Mini Itx + Upgrades

Back with another build in my arsenal. I build an AMD mini itx gaming rig back in November 2010. It was kinda boring having all parts from Intel/Nvidia so just to level the playing field. I came up with this.

Silverstone SG06 Case (450w model)

AMD Phenom IIx3 740 @ 3.2Ghz

Scythe Big Shuriken 120mm Cooler

4GB Corsair DDR3 1333

500GB Western Digital Black Notebook HDD

HIS Radeon 6870

I have already planned on upgrading to a Phenom IIx6 1035T (95w), 6950, 8GB of memory and a Corsair H50/60. Would any of you guys know the quietest 6950 (either 1GB or 2GB models)? Any help is much appreciated. I also plan on giving away the 6870 on youtube for free if interested.

Looks pretty cool

Thanks man. Just got my 1035T in the mail today and decided to start swapping stuff out. I have it running at 3.2Ghz stable.

I was thinking about sleeving the PSU cables next in a red/black orientation.

You can mod it to fit an ATX psu but modular is a must. Did some final upgrades this weekend (except for the SSD coming in the mail). Decided on going with a GTX 560 Ti instead of a 6950. Much better fit and quietness. Also, set up the H50 in a push/pull config. I have yet to see it go over 45c @ 3.2Ghz.

Thanks for the feedback. As you can see from the pictures, my A/C is usually on so I cant even hear it. The fans on the H50 120mm NZXT's and its a lot quieter than the stock Corsair. Also, The 560 @ 70% fan speed is about 40% on the 6870.

Thanks guys. Haven't really been able to do any benchmarks due to power being out for a week (thanks to a certain hurricane). As soon as they can remove the telephone pole leaning on my house, I'll get some more pics up.

Hi I Have same mobo as you with 1055T 95W, but using Lian - Li Q11 with 560ti, 2x WD Scorpio in Raid 0 and 120GB SSD, 5 1/4" Bluray, Corsair H40 with 140mm noctua at 7v, St45 PSU 450W

Using H50 but problem is that since the front mount 140mm fan takes in Air from side can only having blowing air in so it blows hot air from radiator into system which means Voltage regulators on mobo overhat and system switches off, a lot of people on new egg have vrm overheat issue.., should of gone with SG05

On a side note last year built SG05 with H50 have it set so front fan blows hot air from radiator out of system, works great, as for GPU Cooler any stock one is loud, but you should be able to fit arctic twin turbo II

Mobo: Gigabyte ITX H55

Optica Drive: 8 x DVD R/W

CPU: i7 860 @ 3.3GHZ (7.6 WEI)

Mem: 2 x 2 GB PC8500 @ 1280MHZ (7.6 WEI)

HD 1: Crucial 300 128GB SSD (7.9 WEI)

HD 2: Seagate 5400.6 500GB

GPU: 1 GB 5850 (7.9 WEI)

PSU: 450W Silverstone MATX

CPU Cooler: Corsair H50 + Stock Fan

CPU Temp: 38-45 idle, <55 Full Load

GPU Cooler: Arctic Cooling Twin Turbo Pro

GPU Temp: 45-50 idle, <60 Full Load

I would be interested in the gpu if you are still giving it away - I'm going to be doing a htpc stacker build and this would be perfect. I can't believe how much stuff you crammed in there, yet it still looks neat XD jealous muchly.
