Looks like I got lucky as French AMD store is now showing out of stock when I click on the link where I ordered today and the 3950x doesnt even show up on the amd product page now

The two biggest retailers (only ones that got I believe) in Sweden got about 10 chips each of the 3950X, but the 3960X availability was around the 50+ mark.
