AMD is Starfield's exclusive PC Partner - Bethesda Confirms

Oh joy..... nigh on all AMD sponsored games in the last year or so perform terribly, Callisto Protocol and Jedi Survivor being 2 of the big culprits... any that have RT have the most lackluster subpar RT effects available and on top of that XeSS and DLSS are completely locked out of them.

So now the shoe is on the other foot ya just don't like it ?

Well I can at least say while i agree with some views AMD is only doing what Nvidia done many times over the years, you can hardly blame them.

but oh it's starfield so now the internet has to have a meltdown lol

while dlss is slightly better it's only slightly and if you feel otherwise watch hardware unboxed's videos on them technologys progress over time, it's really not a huge gap the only area nvidia have a lead is DXR and that is it.

Afterall it's a bethsada game did you really not think there would be bugs, there will be a mountain of bugs either way, i feel this choice has more to do with xbox than anything else, afterall nvidia are only powering the switch with that old tegra tablet chip cause nintendo are and havent been at the for fount of making decent hardware for decades now.

I'm personally not having a meltdown, Just criticizing them as AMD's main constant mantra is "we're open" when clearly they're not.

It's to a point developers to do with Jedi Survivor and Callisto Protocol have been asked on twitter, They ignore all questions to do with the subject and some have even blocked people when they've politely asked about adding in DLSS.

It's just not a good look.

As mentioned, if they actually worked it wouldn't be an issue. Problem is? they don't.

When I did a brief write up about Dead Island 2 I (other than no reflections in the mirrors) mentioned that the inventory screen was laggy and buggy. Well, as the game went on it began to crash.

Turns out? it was because of this.

https://www.reddit.com/r/deadisland...island_2_keep_crashing_on_inventoryworkbench/

It is being caused by, oh noes, FSR. As soon as you disable it? menus run like stink.

Which is a problem for me. Mostly because my 2080Ti could not hack the game running at true 4k. So I enabled it, hence why I had the pain in the baws. For most of the game, until I realised it was that and disabled it and ran it at 2k on my 4k TV.

Which did indeed fix it, but it didn't look anywhere near as good. As of leaving two weeks ago? it still wasn't fixed. In fact, it hasn't even been acknowledged by the game devs.

It's just Biz they all guilty of all the above things, but I can say this much FSR is open i.e both consoles use it and all GPU's can use it, so while behind the scenes things happen it's not like nvidia haven't done plenty themselves over the years and last time i checked not that i ever expect it to change nvidias stuff is very much not open ?

Idk why anyone expects different from any of the tech companies holding one on a pedalstall while expecting the others to compete when most are so hard stuck to nvidia that it'll never change you cant have it both ways.

Whole reason i ditched nvidia and wanted too for a long time was locking out easy features on different generations, one being physx years back and then RTX voice i know this as i modded the app to work with my cards, now if i could make it work why couldn't nvidia truth is they need these features to try to force you to upgrade, they also do this tatic of giving you bare minimum so that in a short time your have too, obserlesance.

So like you say it's not a good look, but in my view neither are many many of the things nvidia do but i'm sure not going to give them an easy pass, they loved crypto they love AI and i can tell you now where the money is is where they will always go they do not care about gaming at all, they never have and in truth nor does AMD or Intel but i do find it hard to express a viewpoint when people make nvidia look like the good guy when in truth they are all the same, just some are more sickening than others.

it's the devs work that makes games broken generally so expect bugs it's 100% normal these days it seems ship it out get the money and eff them all over.

If a game has FSR I use it or RSR and not had an issue myself yet, but it's not always the same for everyone at times different hardware will just kick up a stink be it ram mobo or other, but i always say my part when i do have an issue i'm not painting a different light, but gotta admit it's getting to the point that nothing will change as your all so set in what you feel, idk if it's marketing or just force of habit or fps numbers, but there it'll not change any time soon.

Starfield is no longer AAA game for me if they choose AMD side. I was expecting equal approach to tech and now no DLLS guaranteed as they force devs to use FSR and ignore green and blue side tech. Meaning no quality tech comparisons.

Choosing no side or team green would mean no tech bans as team green is confident and wins all comparisons against FSR and XESS.

Also looking at recent AMD sponsored titles, this usually means quality and performance issues and generally buggy start.
