The quality is definitely a big jump up. I feel like if they can get it to work on past generations, it will help sell older GPU stock, which is still prevalent and will put AMD in the good books. I know 'good books' is a bit vague and not going to earn them money necessarily, but I was watching a new interview where a game developer using UE5 expressed how he preferred the AMD tech because it's more open source, as well as other reasons. If AMD wants to gain market share, creating an upscaler that works across generations and is easy for game developers to fine tune, because it's open source or not locked down in any way, will really help them to push their brand out there. Freesync was like that. Freesync is now more normal than the Gsync module.
