AMD have silently reduced the prices of the Ryzen 7 lineup, offering reduced prices on their Ryzen 7 1700, 1700X and 1800X in the UK.

Nice! UK prices are still too high compared to places like Germany if you're in the EU, but that's currency exchange and VAT rates more so than anything else.

These appear to be temporary discounts implemented by Retailors to move inventory. A number of factors are contributing to this move. The largest is the sluggish shipment of AM4 Motherboards.

Amazon in the US has dropped the price on the 1800X by 30 Bucks. Realistically I did not anticipate seeing any price cuts until Intel starts shipping its next generation processors. Some time in the 2nd to 3rd quarter of 2018. The Mother Ship can be none to happy about this move even if its the Retailors eating the deficit.

It is just retailer specific.
AMD isn't doing anything here, it's just mainly Amazon.

They reduced the price in the UK more than likely due to exchange rates and they got more money from the initial hype train buyers.

I heard from the start that there was a plan to reduce the price after launch around the time the R5 was launched. I had not heard how much. I hope the prices hold.

UK prices are crap.

The AMD Ryzen 7 1700X has been as low as €349.99 which equated to around £299.33 + £5.48 Shipping @ Amazon.fr and it's currently €369.99
