AMD has officially announced their RX Vega 56 and 64 GPUs

Actually PCPER showed when the PG278Q came out that G-Sync works as low as 1Hz.

If a FreeSync display has LFC (Low Framerate Compensation) support it also goes down to 1Hz. AMD doesn't say it does because sub 30FPS is a terrible experience regardless.

Yeah 40FPS is my bottom limit, I will literally buy a new GPU if I go below that regardless of monitor tech ^_^

I think the 56 will be the winner here rather than the 64 this is pure speculation though I may be wrong but I think more people will go for the 56 if it competes well with the 1070 most gamers don't play at bonkers high resolutions anyway. this will be interesting to see how it pans out

Well I think it'll compete with a 1070... but it cost the same. Also consumes more power. So I don't think it will impress.

NVidia are not playing nice at the moment.

They have just released a new driver for the Titan Xp that unlocks extra professional features. This will put extra pressure on Vega pro card sales.

I don't think Vega pro sales will be affected in any way. If they even existed. Titan Xp was demolishing Vega in every way. 1000 for Vega wasn't worth the money from start. This driver update is just coup de grâce.

They do exist.
And Vega is a compute monster first and foremost that just so happens to be able to game. Yeah it sucks for gamers but the real money is to be had in the professional/business market along with servers/datacenters/etc. AMD were wise to go that route honestly. They know they cannot compete with Nvidia and fighting for scraps is just stupid from a business standpoint. So take what they can but make a better product somewhere else that will make more money then they will be able to comeback in the future once they have enough R&D to do something about it

The Titan xp is also not marketed as a gaming card, more as a profesional card. But as GN showed in its tests then the Titan xp beat the amd equivilant in all gaming tests, and it profesional workloads it was very close.

The Titan may not be marketed directly by Nvidia as a gaming card, but they don't need to market it for that; they can just let consumers and their love affair do it for them.
