AMD eyefinity questions

Hey guys, a question here that I have not seem addressed elsewhere.

I have a 21.5" 1080p display, and have found that the average 1280X1024 monitor is the same height (screen wise) as it.
Because of the crazy low price of them I have two extra (one is in use as a second display) I was wondering whether I could run the 1080p monitor at 1820X1024 so that the vertical resolution is the same as the 1280X1024 screens, and run all three in eyefinity, with the 1080p display as the centre?

Considering you have it there why dont you try and see if windows will let you set that as a single screen....? Its a very specific request so will probably be best if you test it yourself sadly dude.

Don't have my 7970 yet, will try in Nvidia surround though, awesome to see a reply from the Guv himself love your vids.

The 1280x1024 monitors are a 4:3 aspect ratio though dude whereas 1080p is widescreen. There might be a way for it to work but I wouldn't bother. Ideally you need 3 of the same monitor as all monitors display colours slightly differently which would drive me nuts.

I've got it so that colours are about the same on all three, one of the monitors is a bit shitty so it will always be off.
I'm gonna try it though, the smaller monitors mean that there isn't a lot of wasted resolution outside of my peripheral vision, and they still work well for web browsing.

(also 1280X1024 is 5:4 aspect ratio FYI, although I see how you got mixed up, there is not much in it. it is definitely superior to 4:3)

With the latest Beta driver, you can select different resolutions for each monitor, you might have just timed it right, as it has just recently been added.

Was going to try it with my 750ti (just to see it going) but apparently the 750ti doesn't do Surround even though on the side of the F-ing box it says one of the key features is Nvidia surround.

I'll just have to wait for the 7970.
