So here’s the answer to my previous question in the other thread. Good on AMD to go soldered route, even if it’s more difficult and potentially higher risks of failure while being manufactured.

I am glad they are going soldered too. I'm going all-in on Zen2 this year after being on Z270/7700k for a while.

yeah I'm considering making the move from 6600k to Zen2.

Now the real question will be whether I go for 3800x or the 3900x

I’m in the same boat with you guys... Going 3700X this year!

Yeah I was confused as to why this was an article when previous designs were soldered.

Just because the previous gens were soldered, doesn’t mean this one would. I don’t take anything for granted, that’s when you among other things, get disappointed.
And it’s not surprised, but rather happy that this gen is soldered as well after all... As they could’ve gone an Intel route, since it’s less prone to failure and it’s cheaper.
