AMD have claimed that Intel have indeed lost the DUAL CORE battle

As the deadline has passed they say that Intel would have been shown how to process stuff

They have come right out with some boasting of their own.

In a very un-AMD-like press release they have specified the reasons for Intel losing so badly:

Top 10 reasons Intel did not participate in AMD's Dual-Core Duel

10. Tried to follow their own roadmap to get to the duel

9. Decided to take the "front-side bus" to the duel; got stuck in a bottleneck

8. The "Intel Inside" stickers they used to package the cored together keep melting

7. Too busy rearranging the deck chairs on the Itanic

6. "Hey, we don't expect anyone to actually buy these things!"

5. Didn't want to compete when they realized that they duel would involve actual "rules" of fair competition

4. They couldn't get a permit from the fire department to emit that much heat

3.
No systems available yet - protective clothing used by manufacturers only safe for up to 149 watts

2. Dell told them they weren't allowed to participate

and the number one reason Intel didn't accept the dual-core duel:

1. Moore's Law has been replaced by "Paul's Paradox": the number of cancelled products per year at Intel will double every year after the introduction of the AMD Opteron processor.

Wow stirling stuff. AMD have gone all-out on Intel!

Look at the AMD press-release Here

See a couple of Head-to-Heads @ ZDNet and CNET

Made me laugh anyway :)

Hahaha...Thats made me laugh my arse off.

Way to go AMD. More companies should be like you, and not be afraid to engage in a bit of bashing when you are hammering the competition :D

Haha very funny, nice find kempez815...and Frag previously. I do hope that Intel do start putting out some quality products soon, and provide some friendly competition for AMD

yeah i agree a little competition from intel wouldnt go astray, but amd are on fire on the momment no one can touch them :D

i suppose they are just rubbing it in for so many years of losing....but its a tad harsh, cos very soon the tables will turn :)

dont you mean intel are on fire...literally :rollingla

although I'm an AMD fan personally, I got a feeling Intel's next line is going to set another standard in processors... much of the work is being done by the Israeli R&D team, and last time they had such a heavy hand in Intel's processors was the Centrino line, which is still the standard in laptop chips...

There's nothing wrong with a bit of friendly competition. I managed to shut my friend up yesterday with this (he insists his P4 2ghz is better than my Athlon 64 3400+, even though my pc keeps beating his in benchmark tests :p).
