Just high end silicon?

All of this nonsense has been created by Nvidia. Who would pay £1300 for a high end GPU?

Who would pay for a TITAN OMG FLAGSHIP INNIT GPU?

What Nvidia have done is realise that 99% of hardware enthusiasts are just braggarts and have capitalised on it very nicely indeed.

When I look around me I see how many "true" enthusiasts that I know. Know what? none of them from 2009 are here apart from the staff.

Most come along, show off and then get bored.

I just call a spade a spade is all really.

But Nvidia didn't invent the term flagship. I would give it to the Fury X like I would give it to the PRS Custom 24 from Paul Reed Smith guitars or I would give to the Samsung Galaxy S8. That's the foundation from which all greatness is built. Maybe in the graphics card market there is more of a zombie-like Nvidia entourage who have to have the 'best' irrelevant of price, but the word flagship from my post refers to the best the company can do at an expected price.

I would consider 1060/480/580 mid range cards and 1070+ is high end.

Here where I am then throwing 500/600 euros on a 1080 is HALF a wage on most people.... THAT i consider Master Race levels. Then when u spend 800+€ on a 1080ti is Master Race Platinum Edition...

Yup, I'm with you on that. 1070 and up is high end in my eyes.
