AMD announced their Radeon Pro SSG GPU with 1TB of onboard memory

The demonstration was really impressive, It could play 8K content at 90FPS and scrub through the timeline in Premier Pro without any hickups.

8k raw content too on a Polaris chip(480 equivalent). Impressive. K would like to know what the memory usage was like when scrubbing the timeline!

480 seems a little lack lustre for a pro card

For HPC yes. For workstation content no. Add in the fact it gets special drivers and probably more focused attention from devs, it adds up quick. AMD just also released a driver for workstation use that generated 32% peformance gains. It's things like that that make it useable as WYP made an article about earlier

Damn that's awesome
