hi guys im new to this overclocking and it is confusing lol i am using the AMD Althon II X2 250 3.00GHz, Asus M5A78L-M LX along with 4gb 1600 ram . i would appreciate it if someone could help me to get the cpu to 3.6ghz i have currently got it to 3.38 stable and wont go any higher.

well i only changed the FSB to 220 and that it it got me 3.3ghz i can go bit higher but it messes up. it automatically puts my ram up from 800 to 880 and my HT to 2200

You haven't changed the core voltage at all? You have probably hit the "wall" for stock voltage. If you want to go higher, that means adding volts, and that means more heat. If you have a good cooler, you can start bumping up the vcore 1 or 2 notches at a time until you get to where you want to be. Make sure you can run prime95 for several hours.

ok cheers mayb it was cause i havent touched the voltages im only using the stock cooler atm i hears that some people were able to get at least 3.6 on the stock cooler
