Never realised how cheap prime is in Europe, Jesus Christ. I won't be keeping it now. Other than the free delivery—which even then, I don't care about getting stuff immediately any more—I don't use any of their services and have been making a conscious attempt to go elsewhere.

For what you get is good. Streaming, delivery and Twtich.

Price is still good.

I went from 89.99 to 109.99 yearly. Still cheap at only $9.13 monthly.

for me it is still cheaper than not having prime and with the amazon credit card i get 3% as payback.


i don´t use installment payment (i guess that what it´s called in english).


so why this price raise sucks it´s still better than not having prime .. in my case.

Prime TV is just a joke now. There is nothing good on there free, it is all "Here have one free ep of this subscription service". So I have not watched anything on there in about 6 months.

Ebay is usually cheaper for bits and bobs, just a bit slower. So given I am patient I am happy to just wait for the postman.

well i buy a lot of tech stuff and ebay USED stuff is sure cheaper but for new stuff ebay is more often than not more expensive here in germany (+ often added shipping cost on top).

just now the cheapest 5600x is 197 euro on ebay and 193 on amazon.
not a big difference but i would safe another 5 euro with amazon paypack.

cheapest 5900x on ebay is 429 euro.
on amazon i get it for 373 euro.

currently i am looking for a 30+ inch eizo.
cheapest eizo CG 319X on ebay = 4.697 euro, on amazon = 4195 euro

the times where ebay reseller had better deals than amazon are long gone.
at least for what i shop.

i am not saying there are no other examples, where ebay is cheaper.
but more often than not i find better deals on amazon.


another point is that i had nothing but good experience with returning stuff to amazon. no questions asked.
with other retailers i have to wait weeks for my money and often they even try to argue.

mindfactory is normaly a bit cheaper than amazon for computer stuff.
but when possible i prefer buying at amazon. just because the return experience is so flawless.


i am picky with monitors so i often have to send them back.

smaller retailers really don´t seem to like that.
but i am not paying thousands of euros for a monitor i am not 100% satisfied with.

amazon might be a bad company to work at.... but from a customer viewpoint i had no problems at all since 2001. (knock on wood).

I don't mind the increase, I use Prime for quite a few things.

I watch the TV Series and Films on there, and unlike Netflix it's actually had more than 1 new thing added within the last year that I wanted to watch.
