AIO replacement Radiator

Hi guys,
At the moment I have a Cooler Master Nepton 280L AIO cpu cooler, I would like to replace my existing radiator (damaged) with Alphacool NexXxos UT60 Full Copper 240mm Radiator. The main fittings on the pump side are 10mm (3/8”)barbed fittings (these can not be removed as they are part of the pump assembly).

Now is it possible with the correct tubing and fittings to refill this without a res, the pump works fine, my only other choice would be to get another AIO.

regards MAD

it should be rairly easy to just get some 3/8" tubing and some 3/8 to 1/4 fittings and then fit whatever radiator you would want as for filling it i would say you would want a radiator that has more then just the 2 inlets that should then make it easier to fill the loop as you can then have the pump connected to the normal inlets then use a different inlet for filling.

As Anakey said, you'll be okay with the good fittings!

The UT60 are not know for being restrictive radiators, so the pump of the 280L should be okay.
You have a fillport/drain port on this radiator, so filling the loop without reservoir won't be a problem. ;)

But if you have some budget and don't consider moving away from AIO solutions, you should take a look at the EKWB Predator.

The water block of the Predator is the Supremacy MX, so if you buy the Supremacy AMD mounting plate, you should be good to go!

just get the amd mounting kit for the MX block, I think they use just a regular supremacy MX for which there is amd hardware.

Yes but it would require taking the CPU block apart on the Predator, and then refill the unit.

I honestly don't believe it's worth repairing that Coolermaster AIO. Before you know it, you'll have spend more money on that project than you can buy a new unit for. If you like something that's expandable, look into the new Swiftech H220/240/320-X2 series or the Fractal Design AIO's which are also expandable, but not so powerful as the Swiftech.

Those Eisberg units can make some terrible noise though, and there has been issues with them leaking from the reservoir (which is placed on top of the CPU). If you do use such a system, you better make sure your home insurance covers this.

They have had problems with the Predator leaking EK have recalled them, also i would have to modify the CPU mounting as they only supply with Intel fittings.

The leaking has been fixed though, everyone else had leaking problems. Water leaks apparently ;)

But you're right, I totally forgot you're an AMD user.
