AGP Upgrade help pls...

It's my dads birthday next week and he currently has a Radeon 9700pro and an XP3200 with 1GB of ram.

Not a powerhouse but good for office and some gaming.

So I am thinking for £50ish I can get him a new GPU - auction sites list the followung AGP cards in my price range:

6800LE 128MB DDR2

X1650 (256MB plus shared memory thing)

7600GS (on the high side, not attractive)

I am open to suggestions - lemme know ure thoughts.

7600GS= 6800LE but on a lower tech process so less heat and power from a 7600GS. Both use GDDR2 AFAIK.

6800gt's can be had pretty cheap these days, around £50-70 and would be a good upgrade from the 9700pro

Some 6800U's have gone for around £50 in recent days - it's all pass tech.

I picked up a 6600GT 128MB AGP for the g/fs machine recently for £38 new and delivered!

Very impressed for the price
