Oh look another company releasing a small case. This one actually looks quite promising, albeit quite like a prodigy.

What do you guys think? I personally think it could be promising but there are some interesting design choices, such as the 20cm fan in the front. If the price is right I think this could be an excellent choice over the prodigy however it is made by aerocool, who're not exactly famed for good build quality.

Why would you even bother with a floppy drive cage in the first place these days... ?

If they did one with no front drive bays *at all* I'd be more impressed, then you don't have the need for anything on the front = much cleaner look to me.

Not a fan of Aerocool cases tbh. Tend to look tacky, feel plastic-y and break a lot-y :p

Oh, and I'm not counting the fact that they produced cases with cable management of which the cables wouldn't fit through the grommets. Not to mention the one they did that had grommets but no space behind the motherboard tray. :(

urgh, external usb one thank you very much :P Nothing worse for my ocd than a case with a lot of unequally sized and disproportioned holes in it for sticking memory cards in once a year :P

I kinda liked the looks. Just couple of points bothering me:

if I go small form factor, it's to put it out of the way of my feet, on a table. In that case (no pun intended), the DS series seems a tad too high, and the ports/switches should be on the side, not on top.

Still looked fun to mod (even though my modding talent is close to nil. Completely ruined a 500€ case to oblivion once, trying to mod ><)

Yeah nowadays the only thing I could think to use that external floppy bay for is for mounting like more external USB ports say, for arguments sake, for easier cable routing if you were to set this up in your living room as the HTPC/living room gamer. I know that AsRock packages a USB 3.0 tray with certain motherboards that mounts in that location that also acts as a SSD bay, which would make it a nice alternative to the cases port locations.

Having never worked with anything other than AeroCool fans, I can't really say one way or another about build quality, but I like their fans so I'd be willing to give this one a shot. Who knows, maybe they've stepped up their game in recent history.
