advice on Gaming monitor

hi just wondering what i need to look for in a good monitor for gaming and high end graphics. my budget is £200-300 thanks

on that budget I would go for a 23-24 inch 1920x1080 IPS monitor from Dell, Iiyama or LG. Can't really go far wrong there.

I have the 24" BenQ XL2420T and I love it, I bought it for the 3D side of things but I wasn't a big fan of it :/ But I still run it on 120Hz mode and all is good

I have one, Love it to death.
Since getting it I'm now the best Unreal Tournament Instagib player again.. I feel 14 again. I got so good in fact that I'm banned until the 8th of August on the prime US UT99 Server -_-

Also 2D light boost = 0 Motion blur

The poor stand is a small price to pay for 2560x1440 plus the great colors and viewing angles you get with IPS.
