Interestingly, despite this, their stock price is slightly down RN. I find it weird because King and Blizzard are some of the most profitable gaming companies and microsoft acquiring them will generate a lot of profits there.

According to Twitter sorry "X" it seems that Microsoft & Activision's Stock were frozen at one point because Microsoft's or Activision's started sky rocketing.

How true it is, I don't know because it's the internet and you cannot believe everything you see on it.

It was activision's, I guess the market is judging that Activision stands to win a lot from this acquisition, which is kind of true, but also, it's microsoft that's buying activision not the other way around, it's microsoft who's going own all of these IPs from now on, they have added a lot of extremely succesful IPs to their catalogue with this move, I personally see microsoft as the winner here, not activiosion, but, oh well, go figure what goes on the heads of wall street people.

But also, it wasn't that huge, it increased to about 10% higher and has now receeded a little to about 9% higher, which is still less than it was worth last week. So IDK why it was frozen.

Why? Because big companies are buying each other? Let them. AAA has been for years now. This doesn't change anything.

Conglomerates are not a good thing. There has never been an acquisition of this scale. It changes far more than nothing.

We live in the golden age of indies. I don't care if developers of crappy AAA games get swallowed up by a conglomerate. The gaming market is so vast these days that an indie dev will always appear to provide the gamers with exactly what we need, with exactly what the AAA devs no longer provide. Fu*k 'em all.
