What ever happened to Abit and Intel? I see on their website they do plenty of AMD boards and Intel LGA775 socket boards, but no later?

I still use an Abit IC7 Max III board with my Pentium 4 3.2gig Northwood and I can still crank it to 4gigs on air lol

. They were top of their game years back. I take it they couldn't compete with Asus and Gigabyte? Shame they made some pukker boards.

Will have to keep my IC7 Max III now and hope it turns into a collectors item lol.

i only bought abit back in the day, my last board was the Fatal1ty off them, but when they went bust the left the board with some bugs, still got a agp board of theres thats been in like 10 computers still runs like a charm. my fatility is under the bed lol.

I had some of my best overclocking times with an Abit NF7-S. Learned quite a bit with that kit.

RIP Abit

.. erm they never went bust. They are doing different things.

Most of the mobo guys I *think* are doing wonders for MSI.

You look and MSI mobos and they even smell like ABit.

I know the website is still up and running

I naturally thought they were keeping it alive in support for the old mobos. They were certainly cracking at making a board that overclocked well. The IC7 Max III was renowned at being one of the best boards of its time. Combined with the Northwood CPU (low temps), it was chicken oriental!!
