I read somewhere that the 9800GTX is exactly the same as the 8800GTS but is slightly overclocked.

Not a new core or anything, I could be wrong though

Correct. Higher binned cores with better power = bigger OC's... That is why they are cheap for a gtx

Well, for my money, I'm waiting.

The 9800's aren't a great step up from the 8800's.

Still, if you really must have every new one...

9900GTX has a nice ring too it, I may hold off a bit longer on the SLI to see how these new toys perform, fingers crossed its a true successor to the 8800GTX this time.

At least we know its not the 8800GTS no.3

I guess it depends, if the g200 is just another minor update then it is no big loss to get the 98 now, and sell for a small loss later if the 99 is the shiznit.
