8800's in SLi with Extreme X6800 in a LAPTOP!

"The specs can do most of the talking here (there's some confusion on whether it will be the 7950GTX or Nvidia 8800 card at the moment, we're leaning towards 7950GTX but a leaked spec sheet does show the 8800 card)"

I hope it's the 8800's :D That would be a sick arse lappy.

Tha laptop will,

A. Melt within a few seconds of loading a game.

B. Will be atleast 10LBS

C. Battary life, mmmm 5 minutes? lol

wouldn't 2x8800's be about the size of a laptop?

not sure how much power 8800's use but I thought it was pretty high :confused:

gaming laptops seem to be fashionable atm for some reason :( not sure why as you lose a lot (upgradability is limited to RAM/HDD) and only gain portability

They would be 8800 Go's which would be condensed on to much smaller cards and require less power to run.

@darkorb:

1. Highly doubtful, I'm sure they have a good thermal solution in place.

2. Yes, it's a desktop replacement, not an ultra-portable

3. I don't think they actually expect you to run it off of the battery :p

dude that lappy wont have any overclock even if you do try to on air you raise the vcore by 0.1v and the temp hits the roof !!!!!!!

nice lappy if its true :D est £4000
