If I could I would as they say. At least the options for 8 core are here, but who is really gonna need all that power unless they are pro video editing.

It looks good :)

I'm pretty sure PV did a news article about it a month ago when apple put it on the UKStore website.

The search function on the forum seems a bit broken tho, so I can't seem to find it :(

I think it will be good for people who use macs for stuff like imaging/movie editing aswell as the people who use mac's for 3D Animation & Design :)

edit: Here's the article from when they put it on the store and everyone got over-excited :)

Considering the main use for Mac Pro's is professional video editing, I don't think they'll have a problem selling those beasts.

ME WANTS! :yumyum:

Shame prices start at $4000 :( but still an excellent system if you have the cash, I bet they will sell loads tho as they will probably be snapped up by big companies who need speed.

I am surprised at the options for video cards tho :( Geforce 7300  ATI X1900XT

The prices really aren't that out of line with the options that come on that beast.... A PC specced with the exact same components probably wouldn't differ more than a few hundred dollars if purchased from say, Dell. And the video card support for OS X is a bit lacking, therefor the offering's aren't exactly tops. I think in the near future we'll see DX10 cards fully compatible with OS X, 8800GTX/R600 8-core Mac Pro's FTW!
