You tried reinstalling drivers ?

Hows the gpu under gaming ?

Disable hardware acceleration for flash and see if it happens again ..

Could be lots of things, best to start trying to eliminate a driver problem before thinking that the hardware could be at fault ...

reinstalled drivers - still does it
gaming seems fine
disabled HW on flash - doesnt do it
watching a episode of family guy using MPC-HC it does it....

Hi mate.

You a running 2 cards right ? I have the same problem whit my 2 * 7970 and can't find out the problem. But after i only use one, there was no problem on Youtube or wow.

Try it out and see what is going to happen..

yeah im running 2 cards, crossfire is disabled, and has been for a couple of weeks now, i have alot less issues with crossfire disabled!

but this is doing it with only one card

thing is, its only started doing this, its been fine since i last rebuilt the machine (weeks ago), i dont know whats changed since!

Very common problem this one but incredibly odd that it's just started happening.

Have you looked at your Windows Update history and possibly done a system restore?

It might be an update that's done this. I had one a while back that made the windows on my PC take around three seconds to open and close, almost like they were in slow motion.

Try going back to stock overclocks? In a few of my games if i go above 1000/1250 then it just freezes and or drivers crash. At stock 960/1250 it's perfectly fine though. Maybe you might have this problem?
