Blizzard is dropping support for Windows XP and Vista

Not a bad choice IMO considering security updates have stopped for those OS' for standard consumers.
this has very little to do with security issues of Blizzard games. 99% of hacks come from using the same email for bnet and outsource forums like MMO-Champion or Enjin, and/or using the same password for WoW and websites similar to mentioned before. Knowledge comes from 9 years of playing Blizz games of me and my friends and many chats with GMs about security issues. Myself I was hacked twice, before Battle.net app was launched back in Wotlk in 2010. Since I bound battle net to fresh gmail acc that has absolutelly nothing else on it, I had 0 security compromises. Obviously now Authenticator helps aswell.

The only ever know to me issue of person being hacked for any other reason than being insecure with your email/password was my old guildie who got hacked due to outdated java or some other app on his PC. This explanation comes from GM who spoke with him afterwards, back then it was apparently a real issue.

Thats not what Dice was talking about.
He was saying it's not a bad idea since Microsoft no longer offers security updates for XP and Vista is just a pile of garbage no one uses anymore.
