Hi guys here are my nex personnal records with my 7800GTX Leadtek watercooled cards, 01 was done with stock cooling:

;) As far as I am concerned futuremark can leave em out for as long as they want.

That way my scores stay higher, longer :p

Good scores mate - I see you followed my guide to moddign the water blocks - which watercooling set-up are you using?

Tell us more about your set-up when benching.

By the way with a P&PC SLI psu you could get a more stable system and higher clock speeds. I'll be letting mine go shortly, just ordered a 850w unit off phil

My GTX's land on Tuesday so hope to give you some competition real soon.

Nice scores, BIG photos LOL.

Keep going and dont forget to join EPUK overclocking team and add your scores to m/bot.

Cheers

Very nice scores there are is going to be whole new list on orb soon waaa :(

ps @ maveric-sg1 what cards you getting

yes it's me come back in the competition with this new hardware but the San Diego is missing! Waiting for the 57!

Hi Pinto,

Is that the NV40 block with the voltage cooling bit chopped of like mentioned elsewhere in another thread? I know you got some mention in your sig but I just wanted to make sure before I hack up my block.

Zax mate,

Yes it is, the exact same mods I will be performing ove rthe next few days my friend and those which were place in my thread ;)

I have to say thats a cracking overclock and some great scores - I am hoping ot keep up with Pinto and crack some more heads with the GTX.

It would be easy to say If it wasn't for all these benchmarks then I would stick with what I had - lets not forget that these beauties use less power, run cooler and thus the benefit is not just to yoru scores, but to the overall stress placed on your computer - and if you really want the full 'justify the cost' story, you are contributing to using less energy which can only be good for the environment :)

Let the benchies commence.

wasn't 110nm as well? next cards from ati and nvidia will be 90nm but yields are low/getting sucked up by next gen consoles.

5600, 5700, 5800, 59xx, 6600, 6800 series are all in 130nm - 7800GTX is 110nm - 32pipe verson will be 90nmWont make any diffference though until CPU's go faster or dual cores become fully supported or the new physics chip comes out.

Here's to a bloomin expensive year for upgrading or keeping up!!

I'm gonna wait for ATI to release thier card & nvidia to release thier 7800Ultra... The get the best & take over the world(ha, ha, ha

Thats what I am saying tho Living Large mate.

All the benchmark scores we re seeing now all seem to have hit a ceiling - thisis due to the CPU holding back to full potential of the cards we have now.

32 pipes will be great, but only when the CPU's are fast enough to show the full speed, or if programs are fully optimised for dual core processors or when the £200 physics card is released to unload some of the burden off the CPU.

Buying a 32pipe card before upgrading the other components first will (more than likely) be a waste of money.

This spells the beginning of the end of Single core, the Dawn of Physics AI processors and the rise of Dual Core CPU's - it will be 6 months before we really know how fast a GTX can really go - Of course 32pipe units will be faster but only if the rest of your hardware allows you to unleash the full power of the technological terror.

Of course I want it all and I want it now :D

Mav thats because we bench at 1024x768. When it comes to gaming and higher resolution with aa/af on fps start to fall. Hence why I can't play my games at 1920x1200 with full AF.

Having said that best to get a balanced system as possible.
