Aight all, just got done editing some of the install files and what not and finally came up with a good working set of 64-bit NVRAID drivers to be used during a fresh Win XP Pro x64 install via F6.

Download this file and extract to a floppy and you'll be rockin' and rollin' in no time w/o error messages everywhere!

x64 NVRAID Driver Floppy - 291kb

Sweet Frag! Thanks! If I ever do decide to RAID in the future and use X64 I'll be sure to use these! :D

SATA... I suppose it would work for IDE too though.

ok... does raid reuire 2 identical hard drives or could you have diffeent sizes ones?

Depends on what type of array u want... RAID 0 doesnt require you to have identical hard drives as it just adds the storage from both to make one giant logical drive... When it comes to mirroring and such then u need identical drives.

so theoretically i could have a 200 gig and a 250 gig both I.D.E in raid format?

Yes, you could make them a stripe class array (RAID 0) instead of a mirror class array (RAID 1, 0+1, 5, etc, etc, all the others).

Any plans to mess with a 2003 x64 driver? Ive tried making a custom cd with the drivers preinstalled, but it bombs everytime.. stupid nvidia

tnx

These drivers don't work with 2k3? Hrmmm, that's strange. I can have a play with it and see what I can come up with I suppose :)

thanx for the welcome!

I havent tried them yet with 2k3, i was going to do a fresh install soon, mebe i`ll give em a try.

Makes me wonder why nvidia would release drivers that wouldnt work, even on xp32... I had to make my own slipstream cd to get my nvraid happy and not cause a bsod.

:bootyshak == nvidia

These drivers should work with 2k3 x64 edition. Give it a shot, if for some reason they don't let me know and I'll whip up a floppy that works :)
