Hey guys I'm building a new PC very soon and I thought I was all set with my choice on a graphics card then I randomly looked at the price of the 570 and seen it had went down. I can get it for $310 now while the 6950 is $285. I wondering for an extra $15 or $25 bucks will the 570 be better than the 6950 with shaders unlocked and overclocked?

There's also two versions I found, one ten bucks more than the other:

Comments please?

According to http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html the 570 is better than the 6970 which would be essentially equivalent to the 6950 unlocked.

6970 has also gone down to about $320 if that's an possible better alternative.

thing to remember is that its not a guarantee it will unlock. Plus the only link of urs that works is the 480card. IMHO the 570 would be ur better option as the 500 series cards are awesome lil performers.

Mate the MSI 570 I have is overclocked to 900/1800/2000 and I love it. Definitely at the moment team 'green' have got it.

I think its at that stage where its definitely worth stumping up the extra cash for a product that is most definitely worth it.

Not sure what the pricing is in the states but the GTX 570 is a more expensive card so as you would expect, it kills the 6950 even when the BIOS is flashed with the 6970 BIOS. I think the 6970 is about the same price though but the 570 kills that too. The 6950 can certainly hold its own against the 560 TI though which costs about the same money.

Unless you going to add another 570 though I'd have a look at two 6850 as they kind take the 570 down a notch or two considering they cost about the same.

I think the 550 TI is about the same money as the 6850 but no idea how well these scale and if they can beat a 570. If you play games that use physx though and have an interest in 3D gaming then you should really consider the NVIDIA cards.
