So this is what i was able to finally reach, think it may push on past this clock but sadly i just don't have the guts yet.
This all started in another thread and for all that where involved with giving me advice i thank you :)

What about the people that gave you nothing but encouragement from the start? *cough* ;)

A very nice overclock :)
Shall see what I can get tomorrow, but I don't think i'll be getting close to you. You have a golden chip!

@Jamesriley94

Don't worry i will never forget you words of wisdom :)
That cookie was what made this all possible....lol

@Josh

I wish you luck buddy, i have never played with a 3770k before so not sure how hard it will be but i am sure you will find a way :)

I have actually wondered how far you could underclock your card before it refused to work :)
And well, overclocking has very little to do with the skill or experience of the user, but instead the chip :( Should be able to get 5.1 at least. I also want to give WEI a run for its money. That 7.7 for CPU just isn't good enough...

Sweet my m8 want to OC his 3770k could you tell me what he may need for 5.2? :) where having a play tomorrow

That's the one reason I want better RAM - just so WEI stops telling me it's 7.8. If I 'unstably' overclock to 1866mhz it goes up to 7.9 :/

Could never get my CPU up from 7.8 though :/

lol - Unless you've both been blessed or he's on sub-zero - I highly doubt he'll reach that.
5.0 was that absolute max for me. Mine cant handle high clocks whatsoever.

4.5/4.6 is always safe - especially for a mate. Dont go for records on mate's PCs. He should manage 4.5ghz on 1.22ish volts. Leave it at that - that'll give good enough performance, and I wouldnt recommend any higher than that for 24/7 anyway

I would not try and hurt his PC trust me, its not worth my life in fairness he's huge, but he has heard what my chip is doing and he wants to join the ranks of the 5.0Mhz club i think.

Just make sure he understands the risks.
A quick 1.5v run at 5GHz just to validate should be fine, but only if he has good cooling.
I have a 7.9 on everything except CPU. You need 5GHz for that. Doesn't matter what CPU you have, as long as you get it to 5GHz.
A P4@5GHz>a 3770k at 4.5GHz in the eyes of WEI :(

May have to fire up the revs on my triple fan D14 and see how it holds out then :)
