5.1 speaker suggestion

I own the Logitech Z-5500 speakers and run them with my creative x-fi sound card and the sound quality is awesome.

I dont know what the 2 you listed would be like but if they are anything like the Z-5500 's then they are well worth the money ;)

I have my confirmation coming up and will get some extra money and i really want 5.1 speakers. I was looking at two in particular

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2177,CONTENTID=9586 - newegg has them for $115

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2177,CONTENTID=12254 - newegg has these for $90 or i could get them at Best Buy for $105.

If you have any suggestions they would be appreciated.

A friend of mine has the z5300e and they rock, they get deafeningly loud and I can't say enough good things about them. :wavey: another Catholic :)

I think out of the two sets, the x-540 has the best satellites, that would be my choice between the two.

But owning the Z-5500's, I must say they freakin' dominate.

i find that creative speakers are always a good buy, ive got 5.1 upstairs but they come with a digital decoder (basically a soundcard) and i have another creative set on my pc (4.1 inspire something)

cant comment on the logitech other than my friend had a bass problem - sub kept hitting the grill with hardly any bass coming through
