My question is this, Would it be better to move over to 2 x 8GB 2400 so there's not so much strain on the IMC or just stay with what I have ?

Leave it as you'll just be wasting your money if you were going from say 1600 to 2400 then yes but 2400 to 2400 no

Yeah if you didn't have any RAM at all I'd recommend the 2x8GB kit but you're not going to see a performance difference between the two, except you want to overclock the absolute shit out of your CPU and even then the difference is not that big.

wow, just looked up the price, I imagine you must have fallen in love with that kit to spend that much on it.

£90 for 8GB of 2400MHZ isn't that bad to be honest, Corsairs Vengeance Pro 2x4GB at 2400MHZ costs exactly the same.

I say go for it!

Haha I'm more then happy to take the 4x4 off your hands I'll PM you my address. I'm happy to pay postage.

Hahaha! I'm joking I have an SB-E its super unlikely my memory controller can handle 2400mhz!

But yea in all seriousness I've got a good Aussie saying for this situation "If it aint broke, Don't fix it"
