4870 Bios

Hey, there has been a bug with the BIOS of the Sapphire 4870 512mb, the bug makes Crysis and other games freeze.

The new update fixes this problems, but I can't seem to find a good program which is easy to install.

I'm wanting a pure dos applicaiton which can install on a disk as a bootable image. I have tried a few apps which seem to fail.

Could someone link me to a nice application and maybe help with instructions?

Did you ever find anything so far? I would be interested in this as i just picked up one the other night and should be here mon. or tues. and would like to be prepared incase I need it.

Yeah a program called ATIflash, download the BIOS from manufacturer website, load into ATIflash.

This flashes within Windows.

I always feel safer flashing with a floppy, so to speak.

There's instructions in the zip file you download with the BIOS that takes you through the how to of a DOS flash.

Not got a floppy drive tbh lol.

major old bumpage. I already managed to fix the problem . Flashed using DOS @ USB.
