K K3Y New member Aug 3, 2007 #2 I wouldnt think so. i have the same PSU as you (the modular corsair one) and mine came with 4-pin and an 8-pin. Its in the main bundle of wires along with the main atx power, it isnt a modulated wire.

M markkleb New member Aug 3, 2007 #4 all mobos are different, most of my mobos (DFI DR and Expert) will take a 4 pin power plug and run fine. But I checked for a friend and his mobo said they wanted a 8pin only. The 4 pin to 8 pin adapter is pretty inexpensive http://store.pchcables.com/atx4pinto8pi.html
