4..7 overclock?

I have an i7-3770k, and a GA-Z77X-UP5 TH mobo, and h100i. I can run occt for 30min and prime 95 for 15min using 1.19 vcore and a 46 multriplier. My max temps are 71,82,78,71. What offset would I use for this overclock. I'm thinking +0.020 for the offset, but would like to get my temps as low as possible. Also any chance I can push this chip to 4.7 Ghz. I tried with an offset of +0.060, but core #1 was hitting 86c, but all other core were averaging low to mid 70s. :( Is there something I can do to help lower temps, like maybe lower the cpu pll to 1.5v?

Dude have you read / watched our overclocking guide? You have to work out the volts your cpu needs yourself.

Other sites may give you blanket voltages but we encourage you to learn your rig, that way when things go wrong, and they will, you will be able to fix it yourself.

I did watch the video, and I aslo worked out my volts to be 1.19 vore baseline. I'm a little confused though, as to what to set my offset at if my base vcore is 1.19, and it stable upto 4.6Ghz. Do I just leave the offset to +0.000, since I don't need to give it any more volts. Also Tom I would like to say thank for your guide, it is literally the best overclocking guide on the internet right now. I have been trying to get this overclocking thing right for over a year now, and eveytime I would go to youtube looking for overclocking guides, I'd find nothing, but tutorials made with handheld cameras, and a whole lot of useless incomplete info. You think a video like yours would have been made age ago. Anyway awesome guide, possibly make a part 2 explaining offset mode, and maybe how to squeeze out that last little 100Mhz, and you could sell downloable copies of these tutorials easy. Would love to purchase a copy to have for myself. Thanks for making thing clear for me. You are the man!!!

Only 15 minutes??

Do you really need 4.7? What are you using this computer for?

This is actually my hackintosh build for music, but also have windows 8 installed. I think that 4.7 would come in handy though, as those plugins tend to add up quickly, and I am constantly rendering. Also been running prime since 5am last night eastern time, and every thing is good so far. All I did was bump the offset to +0.020, but I don't even really think I need it, as my base volts of 1.19 vcore seemed to be doing fine at 4.6Ghz. Gonna start easing off on that offset after 6 hour of prime.
