Last month Futuremark announced their new Sky Diver Benchmark as a free addition to Current 3DMARK owners. Today that update has been made available.

This Benchmark is is intended to be used on Mid-Range PCs or Laptops, bridging the gap between their Cloud Gate and Fire Strike Benchmarks.

Futuremark Said this;

3DMark gets a massive update today in the form of Sky Diver, a brand new DirectX 11 benchmark for gaming laptops and mid-range PCs.

Every single 3DMark user - more than a million and counting - will get Sky Diver as a free update. For new users, Sky Diver is unlocked and ready to use in both the demo and the paid version of 3DMark.

Sky Diver is ideal for testing mainstream graphics cards, mobile GPUs, integrated graphics and other systems that cannot achieve double-digit frame rates in the more demanding Fire Strike test.

Sky Diver includes a Demo, two Graphics tests, a Physics test and a Combined test. The Graphics tests measure GPU performance, the Physics test measures CPU performance, and the Combined test stresses both GPU and CPU. The Demo does not affect the score.

Below is a video showing a preview of the new Benchmark.

So starting now, we all have access to this new benchmark, either through the free demo or the full retail version. I ask all who can to please post your scores for this new benchmark below.

Please note that Nvidia GPUs currently have a small issue with their drivers while using Sky Diver, a fix is available in the source article and will be included in future Driver revisions.

Well I don't know what's wrong with Steam but I can not even install 3DMark now... damn it!

EDIT: Steam are getting some serious traffic on 3DMark.

ahem, obviously I can't bench my new rig as its missing some crucial parts atm so here is what I'm currently using. Everything is stock as I got rid of my OCs (was running 4.03ghz on cpu and 1200/stockmem on gpu) when I was troubleshooting some weird lag I had with bf3.

I'm currently parked on the download, so once it's installed I'll post my "Mid-Range" results.

Here are two scores, both with stock CPU clock and two seperate GPU clocks. One gives a higher overall score, and the other has better physics scores.

Drivers are not valid so my results don't count in the Hall Of Fame but here are mine for now.

CPU @ 4.6Ghz GPU's @ Stock

CPU @ 4.6Ghz GPU's @ Core +150 Memory +300

It could get higher if it actually used my GPU's fully in the combined test instead of 60% and 40%.

Here's mine.

I dunno why but the first test my screen stayed black the FPS counter stayed between 165-135 for a black screen ... and obv using the new nvidia driver so it dont count lol :(
Was quite a pretty Benchmark, good physics test tho.

I had the same problem. I quit it the first time and tried again, same thing. So I just left it to run.

yeah great physics test, i see 96% usage on the cpu
same issue with black screen , anyone know how this affects results ?

I'm not sure why, but when I locked my FPS at 60 the first test played normal. Maybe it's an issue with the test itself.

In my head i took off about 750 points.
Same way i did with Catzilla and i was about right on the percentage of 5% increase last time :)
could be a driver thing

also, she is relatively calm for someone walking in an upside down world, surrounded by lava and random wood booby traps swinging all over the place, and no way of getting back out.
