32bit to 64bit

Tis nice to have 4g. Quite alarming that u can glance over to ur sidebar and see 1.9g used in the cpu meter, but nevermind.

In regards to the oc performance, it is definately worth checking the power options in the control panel. Every install I`ve made has selected power-saving as default. It has options in there that slow ur cpu down during what it considers idle moments.

1 thing I have to look into is why the usual utils, like wmp etc, are using their 32bit variants and not the 64bit. And/or how to change this I guess. I have tried the default program thing, but it didn`t make a difference - lo and behold it still states 32bit process in the taskmanager when it`s running.

hehe ya. Weird thing is tho, it gave me like 3.25g available in 32bit and over on the sidebar it`d be like 1g used.. so.. I could stand here scratching my head over that one. No hardware changes.

The amount of ram vista uses depends on what you have available, more memory available the more it sues to run, so thats why performance improves a bit when you increase ram.

From my experience on 64bit increasing 2gb to 4gb gave me a significant boost in windows load speed and generally in loading anything. Much much smoother.
