Is one of the best films I have ever seen, i've just watched it (its out in cinemas today). Storyline is non-existent (in the film anyway, the history behind it is fascinating) and plot is not exactly hard clever but the special effects and the acting is phenomenal. The war scenes are the best I have ever seen (partially because most of them are slow motion from a camera that isn't jumping up and down looking at a nothing interesting ).

It is the first film to be entirely shot with green screens and looks amasing.

There is a few trailers here and here

enjoy :)

Cool :)

I was thinking of seeing this film after watching the adverts that seemed to be on every 10mins last night :)

Heard this was a really good movie but wasnt that Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow movie shot with all green screens too?

Recently watched it to. Amazing film I must say. Some elements are computer generated, which makes it look unrealistic at points, but who cares :D.

Brilliant, well thought out fight-scenes. 9.99/10 from me.

I really didn't get into "Sin City", even though my friends raved about it. I've been told that I probably won't like 300 as I didn't like "Sin City". I'm tempted to see it this weekend, but I don't want to be as bored as I was sitting through "Sin"...

Shook hands with Thomas Tull today. He came to my school, where he graduated from in 1988. It was amazing to say the least. During architecture class I went to the library and there was about 100 other students in there. Sat for 45 minutes as this amazing guy talked about the movie, his life and his hot wife was there too (damn, milf what?)

So in short, I got to talk to him, shake hands. He donated the mask Gerard Butler as King Leonidas wore in the movie on a stand with a plaque to the school and is giving two seniors a year a scholarship for the life of Maine Endwell High School.

One a $10k and one a $2.5k. I'll try and snap some pix tmoz with my phone, the one day I forget it he comes. Sigh.

Anyway, it was a great experience :) Just thought I'd share.

I like the review on the bbc website - the reviewer talks about being entertained rather than setting a standard that all films have to reach artistic elitism.

Is the 15 certificate justified?

The original film The 300 Spartans has been recently aired on UK TV. Also worth watching even if it was made in 1962. Enjoyed watching the eagle has landed with the son yesterday, you cant beat some of the oldies.:D
