Fast SSD's have been no rare sight lately. Especially since the launch of NVMe. One of the fastest ones is Intel's 750 series SSD which is available in a PCIe and U.2 variant. Until now it had been a product for pure enthusiasts not only performance wise.

The 1.2TB PCIe version was available for 1000€ but lately it dropped by 30% to roughly 700€ making it comparable to the Samsung 950 Pro. The prices for the smaller capacities dropped similarly.
While the Samsung counterpart is smaller it had severe heat issues and also not everyone has a M.2 slot on his board just yet.
I think the price drop fits the SSD just right making it much more available for "normal" users.
