Well with our current storming of clanbase (currently 4th:D ) Me and timmy have been talking about what to do next.

We've got two options, and wondering what you guys think.

Enter EnemyDown

Or

Enter the Clanbase Euro ladder

Cheers

I say stick with Clanbase to avoid a load of hassle and enter the Europe ladder.

I never actually realised how well you lot are doing

This is good guys, we want to make a decision before we enter into one of the leagues. We dont want the 'whoops we made the wrong choice'. keep the opinions comming.

ED can be good but just watch out for idiots!

I remember a massive bust up when I was playing for mEm over an ED match. We'd put out an open challenge, were undefeated for about 20 matches and nobody wanted the game. So we ended up accepting someone elses match and went to play them.

Half way through the match we had a guy join and then disconnect on the server a couple of times, then a few mins later a bunch of idiots turned up and said that they'd accepted our open challenge. We checked and they'd accepted it 1 minute before it expired!! I know it was our fault as we should have cancelled it ourselves, but these lads wouldn't even wait 10 mins while we finished the current game we were playing.

It turned out that they'd seen our unbeaten record, popped onto our server and saw we were in a game, then accepted our match knowing full well that we would probably not be able to play. All they wanted to do was claim the default and say that they'd beaten us!

Anyway, I've waffled on there a bit, but what I'm saying is, yes go for ED as you can get some decent games in it, but be very vigilant when doing these open challenges as you will inevitably get some morons coming on just to spoil your fun.

:)

some idea's, rules etc

I don't mind really.

I think we need to have a re-shuffle where members are concerned as there are loads of inactive people and also some 'un-reliable' people.

We are improving a lot on tactics and have a strong caller.

I also think once we have had the re-shuffle, we will need to recruit some new people who want to have fun aswell as being reliable.

Recently there were problems in certain matches aswell, something which really has annoyed me and from speaking to Ham, also annoyed him. People disregarding very simple rules.

To avoid this conflict and ignorance I think we should maybe set some rules.

The whole ideology of the B team is to have fun aswell as playing competitively.

A few pointers:

  • one person calls tactics
  • listen to where you're supposed to go as this can get quite frustrating for a caller.
  • css is about fun, don't be getting pi$$ed at people.
  • play your game, do not blame others for your death
  • do not bait people in your team or frag hunt*
  • familiarise yourself with match terminology

* I have seen this happen with certain people in matches

Some points from the TS Usage thread and some added ones:

  • No general chat alive or dead
  • If you spot one of the team about to get shot, simply say: <username> enemy <enemy location>
  • Call flashes & smokes with locations
  • Call rushes including bomb carrier sighted
  • Do not question obvious calls*
  • Do not set out to abuse or annoy anyone*

* this has happened in recent games

All this talk makes me realise how much I miss competitive CSS.

n00b bashing on the pubs isn't comparable in the slightest to organised gameplay :(
