2K showcases the improved visuals in Bioshock's remaster

2K has showcased the improved visuals in Bioshock's upcoming remaster, which will be free to PC players who already own the original games.

Happy days! I know when I first played through Infinite I was already impressed, but upon closer inspection and I know I shouldn't say but they cut huge corners with the model poly counts, when you start noticing the faces and edges they can't be unseen. Simply slapping differed textures on models with 4k images won't cut it for me. I live in hope that they've fixed this.

I hope they improve it and add more ammo, but yeah, huge fan of these remakes/tart ups.

With Dead Island they fixed an awful lot of stuff that was annoying about the originals. The combat is smoother, weapons don't break quite so quickly (yet more realistic IMO) and the graphics? well they're to die for. Both me and my pal, when playing co op would frequently stop to look around to take it all in.

Amazing games are always amazing, however when enhanced they become even better. For example I would much rather have seen a throwback of Fallout 3 using newer graphics than Fallout 4. Whilst I've seen and done everything there is to see and do in FO3 I would put in another few hundred hours in a heart beat if they made it look current.

I loved the original Bioshock and I got quite far in it before becoming annoyed at the lack of ammo. It literally stopped me in my tracks. I completed the latest one though

My main wish is for the weapon/plasmid use to be more akin to BioShock 2's multiplayer rather than having to hard switch between modes.

I know, right. I did the same. Infinite activates on Steam anyway, but isn't getting a PC remaster as it's already "up to next-gen standards".

You can redeem BioShock 2 on Steam using the retail CD key.

You can buy BioShock pretty cheap now on Steam. Shame you missed the Steam Summer Sale. I think I picked it up for ~£3.

Did not Think to buy the first one, no matter the cost, as i already owned it :-/

Seems Strange to me, that only some buyers are selected to benefit.
