2Gb MicroSD Cards... Just amazing!

MicroSD for phones are incredible. I got 256/512m, and if your some1 who likes taking pictures, I`ve got a 300-400 1280x1024 limit, as u can imagine lesser sized snaps can give you 1000s - this all with 2 Audio Slave Albums and 4 RussMartinShow recordings @3.5hours each on there at all times atm...

2G ! well you can multiply that by four - sheez.
 
I think I'm gonna pick up a 2gb card on my next paycheck, or whenever my neighbor decides to finish paying me for my car stereo that I gave him. This 64mb card that came with the phone sure as hell aint big enough :p

i just bought a 4gb pro duo

i remember when i was 7 we had these HUGE hard disk drives, and they had 20mb,

and now we got things the size of thumb nails that are 1000s of times biggeer, and 1000s times smaller

i was wondering why is memmory size incremements always double

e.g. 256 - 512- 1gb- 2gb- 4gb and now 8GB!!!!!

the new 8gb pro duo has just been rleased

^ what he said. and i think im right in saying that 1 Byte = 8bits so every memory increment has to be an even number, 2 being the lowest available

Edit: thats a bad explanation lol. What i mean is all memory quantities have to be a multiple of 8, which is why 1GB is 1024mb rather than 1000 as the name (giga = 10 to the power of 9) would suggest. Therefor all increases have to be an even number (like 8) and so the lowest possible multiplier is 2

yeah

i use it in my w810i phone, its like having an ipod mini. i mean you cant ask for much more from a bit of plastic the size of your thumbnail
 
i wonder when will it stop

I mean, they keep increasing the size, but most people wont need 300gbs for example. but they continue to increase. i mean mp3 have been the same for 10 years now. videos will continue to increase in size tho, and i guess that will push people to need bigger drives

i ended up going with a 1gb stick after a long personal debate. it was less than half the price of the 2gb. holds plenty still.

Yeah I'm thinking that, i will probably struggle to fill the 1gb

But when will it stop. . . .Well they might bring out hologram players :D you might need 300gb for a 30sec clip :D
