2600XT is a good cheap dx10 card, will play sims ok.

My 5600ultra played Sims2 awesome, this card should pwn that game tbh. Seems like a pretty decent card, cept i wouldnt buy it cause my 7950GT raipes it in DX9.

I wouldn't worry mate.. as PP said very old cards could easily play The Sims and The Sims 2.
