Hello. I am in some serious help of finding a new monitor.

The monitor must be a 30 inch. Not 27 or 24 but 30 inch! :)
Resolution must also be 2560x1600.

What shall I use this monitor for?

FPS games mainly but also some RTS like SC2 and Diablo 3.

So guys.. What can you recommend me? The price doesn't really matter. I just want a 30 inch monitor that can be used as a gaming monitor first and foremost.

Thanks for your time reading this.

Best regards

People keep linking to this monitor. What I have read / heard several places is that it's a "bad" monitor for gaming because of the 6ms ?

its amazing in all aspects hexus.net did a review on it , its just how big is your budget. and what games do you play? if you play games like metro 2033 your going to need alot of juice to power it. however if your playing diablo 3 you honestly do not

Or just stick with a 2560x1440p monitor and not complicate things. Don't forget even at the same size as 1920x1080p the screen density is really about 2.5x bigger so a 30inch monitor is actually unneeded.

Unless you don't like really small icons and text

I just ordered Dell 30" LED UltraSharp U3014 . Hope it arrives tomorrow! Thanks everyone for your time and help. I really appreciate it. /Cheer

To be honest.. I am quite disappointed / mad as hell with this monitor..
I feel the color is flat and it gives me a headache and it hurt my eyes also, no matter what mode I am in (standard in windows and game games)

I've made 2 videos I would like for you all to watch and tell me if THIS is normal behavior of a monitor?

I swear to god my old Acer G24(gaming monitor oohh ohh) didn't do any of this?

I have tried to turn off dynamic contrast but that didn't do any good. What is going on here? :O

I'll take a look at mine when I'm home later today. (not exactly the same but it's still from the U-range)

Thanks a lot ! Please try and see if you have the same issues as the ones in my videos. If not.. Then perhaps my monitor faulty in some way.

But thanks again man!

do you happen to have a displayport cable? ive read somewhere that its a noticeable difference, why is beyond me? extra bandwidth maybe? Anyway , im a hard time finding anyone else complaining about the same issue via reviews and such. Maybe you have a defective monitor, or maybe your old screen was just over saturated with color soo it appears your new monitor is "washed out" . I notice this when i changed monitors once. Then i noticed the colors on my new monitor though seem more dull are more true to life. look at something Red on your new screen like a picture of an apple , you should be able to figure out if it looks true to life or not?
