We'll never get good by having a large team because the tactics will get lost. This is why I suggested having 6-7 players max. We can recruit, but I really don't want to start again with the tactics in sitting people through it and making sure they listen.
Bottom line is that I want to play, but I really want to stop calling if possible. I'm getting frustrated because recently when I've called, the team has not done the tactic. A few times I've said "ok, rush this site and get in" to find that some people are holding back having a gun fight elsewhere, or that only two of us are in the site and the rest are all back doing something else, or even people saying "ok but I'm just going here" and not rushing with the team.
There's no point in me calling if the team can't do basic rushes, which we've really struggled with recently. I don't know what the answer is because I obviously cannot get the team to perform in the way it should do.
I'd therefore suggest either nominating someone else to call, or have a look at re-organsing the team. I'm happy to play when needed but I just get the feeling at the moment, games are dependant on me being there. It was only the other night where everyone was sitting about and only got a game when I came onto TS. Everyone has IRC, you know the channels to go to and I'm sure if you're only one person down, you can get a B team member in to play?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not having a rant, but I don't want the A team depending on me to be around to arrange games and getting tactics working. You know the drill on nearly all the maps now, so you can practice these without me.
If you still feel the need to recruit, then please do so. But if this is the case, you'll need to sit down with these new recruits and show them the tactics again, which believe me is harder than it seems. Showing them is one thing, getting them to do them and play as a "team" is another!
