Basicially, ive downloaded the ati ccc as i didnt get the cd with my card, and changed all the settings to how i like, but the only problem is, it doesnt seem to effect css, so woteva i do to my desktop screen, css`s brightness etc stays the same, which is making certain maps near on impossible to play properly. So i was wondering is there a feature on the ccc i need to turn on/off?

thnx

Its me again:D

Ive removed my ati card and put my old nvidea one in, as i was geting frustrated, but as im geting a new moniter, which is going to be more demanding on the card, i thought id try and get the ATi card going again, so anybody who has a 1950 or ati card, wak a post up here and tell me if u had any problems with game settings.

thnx

I'm not sure if you can change the gamma of cs:s using the drivers? :(

I just have mat_monitorgamma set to "1.6"

mat_monitorgamma "1.6"// 1.6 to 2.6 (lowest is brightest)

ye ive got that set, but with this nvidea one, you change your gamma and brightness on the card, for ur desktop, and it takes it into everything, on the ati, you change stuf on your desktop, and it ignores it in games and goes back to default

I've not bothered changing any overlay stuff in the drivers with my monitor, even when I had my nvidia card :(

I just changed the settings on the monitor to suit

Oxo gamma hax tbh! :p

Altho it would be nice if cs:s had more settings for gamma and contrast etc :(

ye but what im saying eq, is my monitors on 100% brightness and its still not bright enough for what i want, that's why i need to change the settings on the card.

I know what you mean :)

I guess the nvidia drivers are just better than the ati ones. I have 3 gamma modes on my monitor and just change it from my norm one to a ultra bright one for dark maps :)

HAX! (only because I didn't think of that 1st :p)

I know this is obvious but when u change the settings for the desktop in the ATI drivers, there is a drop down box for desktop and 3D (In advanced mode). Try changing the 3D settings.
