What's the budget, mate? For the CPU I would recommend the 2500K, hands down.
about $300 for this build (for the motherboard)

Micro ATX board that will destroy most standard ATX. I use one for my i5 2500k and win one click in the BIOS i can hit 4.6ghz and wth a .14 voltage increase I can hit 5ghz.

Definitely wait until Ivy Bridge is released and buy an i5 3570K if your looking for an i5 CPU. As for the mobo, the new Z77 boards are releasing soon so you should probably pick one of them up too unless you find a good Z68 board for a cracking price.
